Det er beskrevet en vandig polysilikatsammensetning omfattende en polysilikat mikrogelbasert komponent sammen med partikler avledet fra kolloidalt polysilikat. Det er også beskrevet en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en vandig polysilikatsammensetning omfattende blanding av et vandig, kolloidalt polysilikat med en vandig fase av en polysilikat mikrogel. Den vandige polysilikatsammensetningen er mer effektiv enn kolloidalt silisiumoksid og er mer stabil enn en konvensjonell polysilikat mikrogel.
