Abstract
Et sjøvannavgassavsvovlingssystem er i stand til å oksidere avløpsvann med høy effektivitet over en kort tid som unngår en ekstrem reduksjon i konsentrasjonene av svovelsyrling-baserte materialer i avløpsvannet utsluppet fra en sjøvannavgassavsvovlingsanordning og en reduksjon av avløpsvannets pH pga. oksidasjonsbehandlingen. Sjøvannavgassavsvovlingssystemet har et avsvovlingsabsorpsjonstårn 17 som anvender sjøvann som en absorberende løsning og en avløpsvannoksidasjonstank 20 som oksiderer svovelsyrling-baserte materialer inneholdt i avløpsvannet utsluppet fra avsvovlingsabsorpsjonstårnet. I avløpsvannoksidasjonstanken 20 innføres luft trinnvis i avløpsvannet inneholdende de svovelsyrling-baserte materialene gjennom minst to trinn av luftinntakdyser 33, som derved oksiderer de svovelsyrling-baserte materialene i avløpsvannet, og sjøvann innføres trinnvis i avløpsvannet gjennom minst to trinn av sjøvanninjeksjonsporter 26 i takt med den trinnvise oksidasjonsprogresjonen, som derved fortynner avløpsvannet.
