Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte og et apparat for å skaffe varme til et smeltemetall som strømmer gjennom metall-transporterende apparat. Apparatet omfatter en smeltemetall-transporterende kanal, en inneslutning for mottak og sirkulering av forbrenningsgasser mens innførsel av gassene i kanalen forhindres, en varmeledende materialutforming som atskiller minst en del av kanalen fra inneslutningen; og en forbrenningsanordning for generering av forbrenningsgasser og levering av gassene til inneslutningen. Varme fra forbrenningsgassene anvendes for å oppvarme smeltemetall holdt i kanalen mens kontakt mellom forbrenningsgassene og smeltemetallet forhindres. Materialutformingen kan være en renne anvendt for å danne kanalen, et rør for transport av smeltemetallet, et rør som oppfører seg som inneslutningen, eller lignende.
