Abstract

En variabel boringspakning benyttet i en utblåsningssikring for å danne tetning mot forskjellige diameterørdeler for olje og gassboringsoperasjoner. Den variable boringspakning innbefatter en pakningsdel støpt av en elastomermateriale med visse mekaniske egenskaper og innbefatter en innsidebuet overlate. Pakningen innbefatter også et flertall av pakningsinnsatser støpt innen pakningsdelen for å danne en innsatsrekke. I tillegg innbefatter pakningen et fremspring som strekker seg fra og bundet til pakningsdelens innsidebuede overflate, og fremspringet innbefatter økede mekaniske egenskaper sammenliknet med pakningsdelen. Pakningsdelen, innsatsrekken og fremspringet er støpt til en enhetlig konstruksjon og dimensjonert for å danne en tetning mot de forskjellige diameterrørdeler ved lukning av utblåsningssikringen. Innsatsrekken og fremspringet begrenser også utdriving av elastomermaterialet mellom pakningsinnsatsene og de rørformede delene.
