Description
Sveisemuffer til forbindelse av rør av termoplastisk materiale med innlagt strømleder, som i det minste delvis er utformet som motstandsoppvarmingstråd, er kjent.
Slike muffer består vanligvis av det samme materiale som rørene som de skal sveises til, enten de er utformet som vanlige hylser for fremstilling av en varig forbindelse mellom to rør, eller at de på den ene side har gjenger og således er utformet som kobling for å utstyre den rørende på hvilken de er sveist, med gjenger. For gjennomføring av sveisingen benyttes spesielt utviklet styreapparatur hvormed den spenning som skal legges på motstandstråden og den. nødvendige varighet av oppvarmingen, kan innstilles.
Slike apparater må ikke bare foreligge på hver bygge-plass hvor slike sveisemuffer skal benyttes, men det kreves vanligvis på større byggeplasser hvor flere arbeidere er be- . skjeftiget med sammensetting av termoplastiske rør, flere apparater også når apparatene dagevis ofte ikke benyttes. Det er her altså ofte tale om større investeringer som er forbundet med den kjente ulempe at apparatene blir beskadiget på bygge-stedet, tapes eller eventuelt også stjeles. Da man på appa-ratet kan innstille tiden for den strømstyrke som er nødvendig for sveisingen og også i tillegg ofte den dertil nødvendige spenning, foreligger den mulighet at disse verdier innstilles ukorrekt, noe som fører til feil i sveiseforbindelsen.
Alle disse ulemper kan nå unngås med sveisemuffen ifølge oppfinnelsen ved at strømlederen har et nominell-smeltested som er slik dimensjonert at det smelter når det i varmelederen er omsatt den energi som er nødvendig for å fastsveise muffen. Det må derfor kun beaktes at fabrikanten anbringer en henvisning til den spenning som skal pålegges, idet 220 V vek-sel vanligvis benyttes i europeiske forhold da denne spenning foreligger på alle byggeplasser. Når det som eneste hjelpe-middel foreligger en tolederkabel med en støpsel for 220 V vekselstrømstilkobling, en bryter på ledningen og en innstikks-anordning som kan kobles til strømlederen, er ingen betje-ningsfeil mulig og investeringskostnadene og faren for tap er vesentlig mindre enn ved bruk av de hittil nødvendige styre-apparater.
I det etterfølgende beskrives en utførelse av oppfinnelsen vist på tegningen, hvor figur 1 viser et lengdesnitt gjennom en sveisemuffe ifølge oppfinnelsen og figur 2 viser, et tverrsnitt langs II-II på figur 1.
Den sylindriske muffe har i sin indre flate på kjent måte innsatt motstandsvarmetrådens 3 viklinger 3a. Trådens 2 ender er betegnet med 3b og 3c.
Mellom vindingenes 3a ene ende og tilkoblingen 3c er innsatt et nominell-smeltested 3d som er slik dimensjonert at det smelter når det i varmelederen 3a er omsatt den energi som er nødvendig for sammensveising av muffen 1, noe som av-henger av muffens størrelse, som ved en pålagt spenning på 220 V vekselstrøm kan vare 0,5-5 min. eller eventuelt også lenger. Dette nominell-smeltested er her anordnet i en glassampulle 4. Den kunne naturligvis også være innelukket i en fortrinnsvis gjennomsiktig plasthylse.
Det er hensiktsmessig at smeltestedet i det minste delvis er omgitt av materiale som ved gjennomsmelting endrer farven irreversibelt. Dette kan også oppnås ved at at nominell-smeltestedet består av et materiale som ved gjennomsmelting gir et godt synlig nedslag på beskyttelseshylsens inn-side. På denne måte er det uten videre mulig å fastslå om sveisingen allerede er gjennomført eller ikke.
Ved utførelsen på tegningen er det av ampullen 5 be-skyttede nominell-smeltested 3 anbragt på en holder 5 som også inneholder de to frie ledningsender 3b og 3c og som kun med to plastnagler 6 og 7 er forbundet med sveisemuffens øvrige del slik at hele holderen kan fjernes fra den resterende muffe etter sveisingen.
Claims (6)
1. Sveisemuffe for forbindelse av rør av termoplastisk materiale med innlagt strømleder som i. det minste delvis består av motstandsvarmetråd og har to frie ender (3b, 3c) for strømtilkobling, karakterisert ved at strøm-lederen har et nominell-smeltested (3d) som er slik dimensjonert at det smelter omtrent når den energi- er omsatt i varmelederen som er nødvendig for å fastsveise muffen.
2. Sveisemuffe ifølge krav 1, karakterisert ved at nominell-smeltestedet er slik anordnet at det er synlig fra utsiden.
