Abstract

Device for rapid casting off and recovery of a mooring 5, especially for an oil platform, the said mooring comprising a submerged part bearing, at its end, an anchor and a part stored on board the platform 1, means 7 for winding in or paying out the mooring, the latter passing through a fairlead 6 integral with the platform and defining a corresponding mooring point for the latter, characterised in that the said fairlead 6 is provided with a device for picking up the mooring which is separable from the fairlead 6 in response to the force exerted by the mooring 5 during rapid casting off of its part which is stored on board the platform, the said device for picking up the mooring 16 being linked to at least one buoy 11 for supporting and signalling the mooring. <IMAGE>
