Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for demlnerallserlng av kull omfattende trinnene: dannelse av en oppsiemming av kullpartlk-ler, hvor fortrinnsvis minst 50 vekt-< av partiklene har en maksimum dimensjon på minst 0,5 mm, med van-dige oppløsninger av et alkali, hvilken oppløsning har et alkaliInnhold på 5-30 vekt-*, slik at oppslemmlngen har et forhold for alkalloppløsnlng til kull, på en vektbasls, på minst 1:1; opprettholdelse av oppslemmlngen ved en temperatur på 150-300°C, fortrinnsvis 170-230°C 1 et tidsrom på 2-20 minutter vesentlig under autogent hydrotermlsk trykk og hurtig avkjøling av oppslemmlngen til en temperatur på min-dre enn 100°C; separering av oppslemmlngen 1 alkall-sert kull og en brukt alkall-utlutlngsoppløsnlng; regenerering av alkali-utlutlngsoppløsnlngen for ny anvendelse 1 trinn (a) ovenfor ved tisetning av kalsium- eller magnesiumoksyd eller -hydroksyd dertil for å utfelle mineraler derfra;urgjøring av det alkaliserte kullet ved behandling med en vandig opp-løsning av svovelsyre eller svovelsyrling til dannelse av en oppslemming som har en pH-verdl på 0,5-1,5 og en konduktivitet på 10.000-100.000 jiS; separering av oppslemmlngen 1 surgjort kull og en brukt syreutlutingsoppløsning; og vasking av det surgjorte kullet.
