Abstract

In order to sort building waste so that as much recyclable material can be recovered as possible, the device is constructed in such a way that an essentially horizontally mounted, rotationally driveable sorting drum (1) is provided, said drum having an axial material inlet (25) which can be fed from a feed device (3, 4), an axial material outlet (9) and a plurality of radial material outlets (27, 28) which are provided with sieves (29), that a multiplicity of different kinds of inner elements (36 to 46), at a distance from one another, is mounted on the drum circumferential wall (26) for the purpose of rolling, comminuting, conveying axially and separating the building waste material led into the drum (1), and that an extraction pipe (16, 17) for lightweight materials projects into the inside of the drum through the axial material outlet (9) of the drum (1). <IMAGE>
