Abstract

Tidligere epoksyharpiksmaterialer som har in situ fremstilte addisjonspolymerer resulterer i heterogene blandinger som er i alt vesentlig fri for epoksygrupper. Følgelig fremstilles en avansert epoksyharpiks som inneholder en in situ fremstilt addisjonspolymer og gir en homogen blanding med resterende epoksygrupper som er nyttige som pulverbelegningsmateriale. Minst én umettet monomer blir polymerisert i nærvær av en fri-radikal-initiator og eventuelt en stabilisator i en epoksyharpiks. Det resulterende materialet blir omsatt med en flerverdig fenolforbindelse for å tilveiebringe en avansert epoksyharpiks som inneholder en addisjonspolymer hvor de resterende epoksygrupper kan herdes med et herdemiddel.
