Abstract

Oppfinnelsen vedrører en Raman omformer (11) med forbedret konstruksjon, som ikke krever nøyaktig innretting av de optiske elementer. Der er fremskaffet en baklengs Raman omformer (11) som omfatter et Raman medium (22) som omformer en laserutstråling av en gitt bølgelengde (ca. 1.06 pm) til en forskjellig bølgelengde (ca. 1.54 pm) ved hjelp av Raman spredning, idet omformeren (11) omfatter en dikroisk kobler (16) plassert mellom en pumpelaser (10) og den ene side av Raman mediet (22) , for dirigering av laserstrålen (12) inn i Raman mediet (22), refleksjonsorganer (33) som er plassert på den annen side av Raman mediet (22) og som reflekterer den Raman-skiftede utstråling (30) tilbake til Raman mediet (22), hvori utstrålingen blir forsterket ved innbyrdes påvirkning mellom Raman mediet (22) og den innkommende pumpelaserstråle (12). Den forsterkede Raman-skiftede stråle (36) blir koblet ut av systemet ved hjelp av den dikroiske kobler (16).
