Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av S-2,2-R,R-1,3-dioksolan-4-metanol hvori Rog Rbegge uavhengig er H eller en alkyl-gruppe eller hvori R-l og Rsammen med det karbonatomet som de er bundet til, danner en karbocyklisk ring, ved å underkaste en blanding av R- og S-2,2-R,R-1,3-dioksolan-4-metanol virkningen av en mikroorganisme eller substans avledet av denne, som har evne til stereoselektivt forbruk av R-2 ,,R2-1,3-dioksolan-4-metanol fortrinnsvis inntil i det minste 50 vekt-% av R-2,2-R,R-1,3-dioksolan-4-metanolen er forbrukt. Forskjellige mikroorganismer er beskrevet som egnet for formålet.
