Abstract
Fremgangsmåte og apparat for fremstilling av en optisk fiberledning med pålagt her- metisk forseglende dekkfolie eller -sjikt. Fremstillingen skjer ved at en stang (1) av fiberråmateriale smeltes eller myk- gjøres og trekkes ut til en optisk fiber (3) i en fibertrekkeovn (2), idet fiberen (3) trekkes videre gjennom en reaktor (5) for pålegging av det beskyttende sjikt. Påleggingen skjer ved at en råmaterial- gass føres inn og ved pådamping danner filmen eller sjiktet rundt den bare optiske fiber (3), eventuelt skjer på- føringen ved pyrolyse i reaktoren. En del av en inertgass for å rense fiber- trekkeovnen (2) og som er oppvarmet av et varmeanlegg (8) i. denne, føres ut av ovnen, samtidig som en del av inertgassen føres inn i reaktoren (5) for fortynning av råmaterialgassen.
