Abstract
Et matteringsmiddel hvor partikkelformlg silisiumdioksyd kan være suspendert med god dispergerbarhet uten å nedsette støpbarheten og formbarheten av vannbasert polyuretan anvendt som bindemiddel i en matt belegningsforbindelse. Det fremstilles ved å blande 100 vektdeler partikkelformig silisiumdioksyd med 0,5-30 vektdeler t-ureidopropyletoksysilan og minst 0,1 vektdel vann og forårsake reaksjon ved 15-100'C for å modifisere silisiumdioksydets overflate. Reaksjonen forårsaker hydrolyse av etoksysilangruppen for frigjøring av en t-ureidopropyl- silanolgruppe, som reagerer med sure hydroksylgrupper som er tilstede på silisiumdioksydoverflaten, for å øke fuktbarheten og forlikeligheten mellom matteringsmidlet og polyuretanet og derved forbedre dispergerbarheten til silisiumdioksydet og resistensen mot skraping hos den oppnådde belegningsfilm.
