Abstract
Denne oppfinnelse vedrører blandinger og fremgangsmåter for behandling av en infeksjon forårsaket av en organisme som er følsom for et 0-laktamantibiotikum omfattende to eller flere aktive agenser. I en utførelse omfatter blandingen: (1) et /3-laktamantibiotikum og (2) et kationisk oligopeptid. I en annen utførelse vedrører oppfinnelsen også en blanding omfat- tende: (1) et 0-laktam-antibiotikum som inhiberer veksten av Enterobacteriaceae-bakterier og (2) minst en membranaktiv substans. Oppfinnelsen vedrører dessuten også forbedrede metoder for screening av potensielt baktericide blandinger in vitro hvori er innbefattet komponenter av en kaskade med aktivt komplement.
