Abstract

Ifølge oppfinnelsen tilveiebringes nå en hardmetallknapp for bergboring, omfattende en kjerne og en overflatesone som omgir kjernen, hvor både overflatesonen og kjernen inneholder wc (alfa-base) og en bindfase basert på minst ett av kobolt, nikkel eller jern, og hvor kjernen i tillegg inneholder eta- fase. Oppfinnelsen er karakterisert ved at etafase-kjerneri strekker seg helt til toppen av knappens arbeidsflate, og som feige av dette oppnås lenger levetid og høyere borehastighet, særlig for rotasjons-knuseboring, forskjæringsboring og slag- boring i bløte bergarter.
