Abstract

En bitumenemulsjon omfatter 40-80 vekt-% bitumen, 0,05 -1,0 vekt-% emulgator og 14 - 59,95 vekt-% vann, emul- sjonen er i det vesentlige fri for organisk opplosnings- middel og inneholder emulgerte bitumendråper med en mid- lere partikkelsterrelse i området 2 - 10 pm med et stan- dard avvik på ikke mer enn 0,3 pm. Emulsjonen fremstil- les under anvendelse av en statisk blandeprosess. Emul- sjonen kan anvendes eksempelvis for veireparasjon og har den fordel at emulsjonen kan fremstilles og lagres for anvendelse (forsinket setting) uten noe behov for å inn- befatte et organisk opplosningsmiddel i emulsjonbland- ingen.
