Abstract

Med henblikk på å oppnå mer stabile forbrenningsforhold i ramjetmotorer med fast brensel og spesielt i tilfellet av ramjetmotorer hvor det benyttes spinn, er det foreslått at den indre overflate av ramjetmotorens brenselelement (8) forsynes med opphøyde over- flater eller land (14), foretrukket dannet av brenselelementmaterialet. I en foretruk- ket utførelse er landene (14) rette og strekker seg parallelt med lengdeaksen av brenselelementet og har samme lengde som brenselelementet. Tangensialkomponenten til den roterende gasstrøm generert av spinnet, tvinger omkretsdelen av gasstrømmen til å gå over disse opphøyde overflater (14) og gene- rerer dermed stående, stabiliserende virvler nedstrøms for de opphøyde overflater.
