Abstract

Ny fremgangsmåte for asymmetrisk hydrogenering av furoimidazolderivater med den generelle formel (I) med hydrogen i nærvær av en homogen katalysator til de tilsvarende diastereomere tetrahydrofuroimidazolderivater med den generelle formel (II) beskrives. Tetrahydrofuroimidazolderivatene med den generelle formel II er mellomprodukter for fremstilling av vitaminet (+)- biotin.
