Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for å minske innholdet av organisk-kjemiske stoffer i av- vann ved kjemisk oksidasjon, fortrinnsvis i nærvær av klor, og eventuelt i tillegg alkalisk termisk behandling av awannet. Dette oppviser et KOB-innhold og alkalitet eller innstilles slik at det blir alkalisk, og ledes inn i minst en reaktor og behandles i denne ved en temperatur på mer enn 15°C med et klor- holdig og/eller klorfrigjørende kjemisk stoff. Kloret blir da innført i en mengde på mer enn l g klor/g KOB, basert på klorinnholdet i det klor- holdige og/eller klorfrigjørende kjemiske stoff, og et molforhold mellom OH" og klor på mer enn 1,5 og en pH- verdi for awannet på £ 6 overholdes eller innstilles, og awannet utsettes for en reaksjonstid på mer enn 0,4 timer.
