Abstract

Et fremdriftsanlegg for skip med en fremdriftspropell (4) plassert i området ved skipsbunnens plane del. Fremdriftsanlegget kan trekkes inn i en sjakt (8) bak skipsbunnens plane del. Når propellen (4) er trukket inn i sjakten (8) i plan med skipsbunnen (1), kan sjakten lukkes vanntett med en plate (10) som deksel. Det innestengte vannet i sjakten kan så pumpes ut. Sjakten er da tilgjengelig gjennom et mannhull (18) som lar seg stenge med et deksel (19). Propellen (4) er derved tilgjengelig for inspeksjons- og servicearbeide.
