Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte ved nedleggelse av en brann (100) som har opphørt å være til økonomisk nytte. Frem- gangsmåten omfatter høytrykksetting av brønnvæske gjennom produksjonsrøret (11), innbefattet eventuelt ytterligere tilstøt- ende ringrom-kanaler (14,16,18), for å presse væske tilbake inn i reservoaret ved hjelp av et gassmedium, såsom nitrogen.
