Abstract

En fremgangsmåte til fremstilling av krystalinsk, vannfri podofyllotoksinforbindelse (1) fra et podo-fyllotoksinprodukt som omfatter å oppløse produk-tet i et ikke-aromatisk og ikke-halogenert oppløs-ningsmiddel som har et kokepunkt ved atmosfære-trykk som ikke overskrider 130°C og som inneholder maksimalt ca 1 volum% vann, avkjøling av oppløsningen for å utfelle krystaller av podofyllo-toksin, isolering av krystallene og tørking av dem ved en temperatur som under tørkeprosedyren blir. øket, men er alltid slik at den er lavere enn tempe-raturen på hvilken krystallene sintrer eller smelter, hvor tørkingen blir fortsatt inntil smeltepunktet er i et område på 183-184°C og restmengden av oppløs-ningsmiddelet er maksimalt 500 ppm. Når utgangs-materialet inneholder komplekst eller adsorbert organsik oppløsningsmiddel, blir en initiell aseotro-pisk inndampingsbehandling foretatt for å fjerne dette oppløsningsmiddel.
