Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av syntetiske oljer hvorved olefiniske hydrokarboner polymeriseres til et oljeaktig produkt med høy viskositets- indeks og lavt hellepunkt. Ifølge opp- finnelsen omsettes høyere lineære a-ole- finer som inneholder 6-24 karbonatomer med en hydrokarbonblånding inneholdende 15-80 vekt% 1-buten, 5-50 vekt% 2-bute- ner og høyst 10 vekt% isobutylen, i nær- vær av et initiatorsystem slik at det dannes en kopolymerholdig reaksjonsblan- ding, og kopolymeren skilles fra reak- sjonsblandingen. Ved hjelp av oppfinnel- sen er det mulig å fremstille syntetiske oljer av høy kvalitet fra et billig rå- materiale, slik som raffinat II fra pro- duksjonen av MTBE eller polyisobutylen.
