Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for å fjerne oljeforurens- ninger fra partikkelformige materialer, omfattende (i) forflyktigelse av for- urensningene fra de partikkelformige materialer i et toroidalt dynamisk sjikt (1), hvor de partikkelformige materialer er suspendert i varme gasser, og/eller (ii) ekstraksjon av forurensningene fra partiklene i et toroidalt dynamisk sjikt (1), hvor partiklene er suspendert i varme gasser (såsom varme forbrennings- gasser, f.eks. blandinger av C02, CO, H20, uforbrente hydrokarboner, i for- skjellige mengdeforhold) eventuelt inne- holdende damp eller et løsningsmiddel for oljeforurensningene. Utskillingen av oljeforurensningene tar sikte på å oppnå faste stoffer inneholdende mindre enn l, fortrinnsvis mindre enn 0,5 og mest foretrukket mindre enn 0,1 vekt% av for- urensningene. Fremgangsmåten tillater tilstrekkelig oljefjerning til at de faste stoffer blir egnede for direkte dumping i en landfylling, forutsatt at de faste stoffer er frie for miljømes- sige forurensninger som ikke er olje.
