Abstract

Et digitalt registreringssystem (50) benytter en magnetoresistiv transduser (54) i et magnetisk registreringshode. Systemet måler amplituden til et utgangssignal (22), E0, fra transduseren for forskjellige forstrømmer når et innspilt magnetisk medium (52) passerer forbi hodet. Systemet bestemmer deretter forstrømmen for hvilket utgangssignalet, E0, maksimeres og multipliserer denne forstrøm med en passende faktor. Systemet arbeider deretter på det beregnede forstrømsnivå og minimerer derved feilraten (12) til systemet.
