Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for agglomererlng ved ekstrudering, metallurgiske biprodukter og avfallsprodukter som har liten størrelse blir beskrevet. En blanding av metallurgiske biprodukter, noen av disse inneholder silikater som tidligere er behandlet ved høye tempera- turer og har dermed evne til kjemisk og strukturell binding av vann, eventuelt blandet med portlandsement og/eller slaggsement, og som inneholder vann som har blitt tilsatt i mengder at silikater og sement som er tilstede, fullstendig kan absorbere og reagere med, blir videre blandet med en hydrokarbonholdlg substans. Den resulterende blandingen blir deretter agglomerert ved ekstrudering. Ekstrudatene som blir oppnådd bevarer form og er tilstrekkelig harde slik at de kan behandles uten oppbrekking, smuldring eller støving, og kan bli anbragt i ekstraktive pyrometallurgiske installasjoner for gjenvinning av verdifulle metaller som er inneholdt i de metallurgiske biproduktene og avfallsproduktene. Ekstrudatene kan også bli lagret uten støving og tap av hardhet.
