Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av et strukturert pigmentdannende komposittmaterial omfatter å danne en dispersjon av ubelagte partikler av titandioksyd ved en pH-verdi hvorved partiklene har en overflateladning og å underkaste dispersjonen for krysstrøm- filtrering inntil dispersjonen inneholder mer enn 50 vekt% titandioksyd. Den konsentrerte dispersjonen blandes med en dispersjon av kjemisk adskilte partikler som har en over- flateladning med motsatt fortegn under betingelser som sikrer at fortegnet av overflate- ladningen på det ene eller det andre av de partikkelformede materialer ikke ombyttes. l det resulterende pigmentdannende komposittmaterial holdes titandioksydpartiklene i assosiasjon med de kjemisk adskilte partikler som et resultat av nevnte overflate- ladninger.
