Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte og anordning for å danne en tett plugg i en rørledning for flytende media, hvor anordningen omfatter en kappe i en eller flere deler, valgt til å passe rundt rørledningen, hvor kappen er fremstilt av en substans som i det minste delvis kan tilpasses formen av rørledningens overflate, og sirkulasjonsrør inne i den ene eller flere deler av kappen for å sirkulere en kjølende væske, en kjølende gass eller en kombinasjon av kjølende væske og kjølende gass inne i den ene eller flere deler av kappen, for å kjøle det flytende medium i rørledningen, og forårsake at det danner en tett plugg i rørledningen.
