Abstract

En tennplugg bestående av et massivt, elektrisk og termisk ledende hus (1) med et forbindelsemiddcl og hvor det i det indre hulrom derav er anbragt en gassikker, keramisk isolator (2), med en midtre elektrode (9), og der den utragende spiss derav har minst en ringformet hjelpcelektrode (4, 5) tilveiebragt på den forlengende del av den keramiske isolatoren som danner et gnistgap med en ende av huset (1) og med den midtre elektroden (9). De perifere kanter av den ringformede hjelpeclektroden (4,5) er fortykkede. Der finnes minst to ringformede hjelpeelektroder (4, 5) og deres indre eller ytre krager (12) rager i den samme retningen. De ringformede hjelpeelektroder (4,5) er laget av titannitrid (TiN) dannet av lag formet til overflaten av en avkortet kjegle som har tykkere øvre og nedre perifere kanter som passer til den avsmalnende spiss av den sylindriske, keramiske isolator (2).
