Abstract

Oppfinnelsen gjelder en anordning for korreksjon av kvadraturfeil i en kvadraturmodulator og/eller demodulator for et signal med flere fasetilstander eller amplitude- og fasetilstander. Korreksjonsanordningen omfatter behandlingsutstyr (51) som når oppfinnelsen utnyttes for å korrigere kvadraturfeil i en demodulator, omformer nivåene P og Q av de digitale signaler som avgis fra demodulasjonstrinnet, til korrigerte nivåer P' og Q' ifølge et hvilket som helst av de etterfølgende åtte forhold.Disse korrigerte verdier tilføres så beslutningsutstyr (72) eventuelt etter at deres maksimumsnivåer er blitt utlignet. Oppfinnelsen kombinerer korreksjonsnøyaktighet med lav pris og den muliggjør korreksjon av en hvilken som helst kvadraturfeil.
