Oppfinnelsen angår en frem- gangsmåte for rensing av en uren fosfor- syre fremstilt ved våtprosessen. Syren som skal renses konsentreres til 58-68 % P205-syre ved oppvarming. Urenheter fjer- nes fra syren ved krystallisasjon som en forbindelse MJ* (H2P04)2 ¿ n ¿ H3P04, hvor M2* er en toverdig metallionurenhet og n kan variere innen 2-5.
