Ved klargjøring av måltider for lufttransport, blir brukt servise og bestikk (24), når det ankommer til en flyhavn sortert, og fordelt i kurver for bruk for den neste flyvning. Det brukte servise blir sendt inn i en industriell oppvaskmaskin, hvoretter det blir ut- styrt med mat og pakket i vogner. Store mengder av lagerplass blir spart på denne måte i de individuelle flyhavner, siden syklustiden for oppbevaring av servise og bestikk kan blir redusert fra 26 timer til omkring 2 timer.
