Abstract

Blekk som blir anvendt i høyoppløsningskontinuedig blekkstråletrykking kan også inneholde, i motsetning til kjent teknikk, vannuoppløselige fargemidler i dispergert form. De kjente problemene som er forbundet med slikt blekk stammer fra additivene som er nødvendig for stabilisering av blekket, og fra en dårlig tilpasset stønelsesfor- deling av fargemiddelpartiklene. Det bør således foretrekkes additiver med gjennom- snittlig molekylvekt som er lavere enn 20.000. Med substanser som er hydrogenbro- aktive, særlig som inneholder hydroksy eller aminogrupper, må denne grensen være ennå lavere, dvs. ca. 1.000. Partiklene i fargemidlet bør ha en størrelsesfordeling der fargemidlets totale volumandel av partikler som er større enn 200 nm er mindre enn 10% og andelen av partikler som er større enn 300 nm er mindre enn ca. 3%.
