Abstract

En fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en termoplastisk polymer-skumstruktur med et ese- middel med vann. Fremgangsmåten omfatter i sekvens: a) polymeren smeltes under dannelse av en polymersmelte; b) det innarbeides et bromert alifatisk brannhemmende middel i polymersmel- ten; c) det innarbeides og iblandes et første ese- middel i polymersmelten under dannelse av en første skumbar gel; d) den første skumbare gel avkjøles til en egnet skumdannelsestemperatur; e) et andre esemiddel inneholdende vann innarbei- des og iblandes i den avkjølte første skumbare gel under dannelse av en andre skumbar gel; f) eventuelt avkjøles den andre skumbare gel ytterli- gere til en egnet skumdannelsestemperatur; og g) den andre skumbare gel ekstruderes gjennom en ekstruderingsdyse under dannelse av en skumstruktur. Innarbeidelse av vannesemidlet nedstrøms i prosessen etter at den skumbare gel er blitt avkjølt reduserer eller minimaliserer pro- sesskorrosjonsproblemene. Videre et apparat for fremstilling av skum- strukturen.
