Abstract

Den direkte håndteringen av akrolein for bekjempelse av mikrobielle, vegetabilske og animalske skadeorganismer i vann og jordsmonn er problematisk på grunn av fare- poientialet for akrolein. Del er beskrevet anvendelse av en lett håndterbar sammen- setning som ved kontakt med vann på anvendelsesstedet frigjør akrolein. Sammeset- ningen inneholder et akroleinacetal, fonrinnsvis 2-vinyl-l,3-dioksolan, og en til en syre med en pKs-verdi mindre enn 4 hydrolyserbare forbindelser, spesielt en slik fra rekken av syreanhydrider, organiske syrehalogenider og uorganiske halogenforbindelser som ved hydrolyse danner hydrogenklorid.
