Det er beskrevet forbedrede tørketeknikker som øker kapasiteten og effektiviteten til tørkere av agitert pannetype. Spesielt vedrører oppfinnelsen et blande/tørkeapparat (210) av konisk skruetype og en fremgangsmåte for å aggressiv konvektiv tørking av vanskelig å tørke kjemiske forbindelser som farmasøytika. Den aggressive tørkingen skjer ved å danne turbulens (280) i tørkebeholderen (210) under tørkesyklusen. Det er blitt oppnådd betydelige reduksjoner av tørkesyklustidene.
