Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse er en fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av en emulsjonen med høy andel av indre fase, uten faseinvertering, som omfatter føl- gende trinn: a) en væskestrøm med kontinuerlig fase med en strømningshastighet R,, og en dispersfase-væskestrøm med en strømningshastighet R2, slås kontinu- erlig sammen i en dispergeringsanordning, i nærvær av en emulgerende og stabi- liserende mengde av et overflateaktivt middel; og b) de sammenslåtte strømmer blandes ved et tilstrekkelig skjærkraftnivå og med tilstrekkelig konstant R2:R, til dannelse av emulsjonen med høy andel av indre fase, uten faseinvertering eller trinnvis fordeling av en indre fase i en ytre fase; hvor R2:R, omfatter et område hvis nedre grense er definert ved et punkt hvor den volum-midlere partikkelstør- relse i emulsjonen med høy andel av indre fase begynner å vise en invers avhen- gighet av R2:R,, og hvor den øvre grense for dette område er akkurat under en R2:R, hvor en faseinvertering av emulsjonen med høy andel av indre fase finner sted. Monodispers-partikler med submikrometerstørrelse kan fremstilles under anvendelse av fremgangsmåten ifølge den foreliggende oppfinnelse. Egnede la- tekser kan fremstilles ut fra disse emulsjoner med høy andel av indre fase.
