Abstract

Foreliggende oppfinnelse angår en fremgangsmåte og anordning for å rense avgass ved absorpsjon i vann hvor avgass føres igjennom sjøvann i fjellrom satt undertrykk ved statisk vanntrykk opprettholdt av vannsøyle forbundet med havet. Det er foretrukket at trykket i fjellrommet ligger i intervall fra 3-50 bar og at temperaturen til sjøvannet som pumpes inn i fjellrommet har en temperatur i området fra O - 20 °C. Sjøvann beriket med C02 føres tilbake til havet. Fjellrommet kan være pakket helt eller delvis med fyllmateriale i form av sementrørbiter eller knust stein for å øke kontakttiden mellom avgass og sjøvann.
