Abstract

Et cellulært radiosystem som omfatter radiobasestasjoner (A, B, C), som hver har et tildelt antall av radiokanaler. Hver radiobasestasjon er tilkoplet til det resterende nettverk (BSC, MSC) av et forgrenet nettverk (5, 7a, 7b, etc.). Kapasiteten til hovedlinken (5) er mindre enn den totale kapasiteten til basestasjonene (og deres assosierte forgreningslinker (7a, 7b, 7c). Når en eller flere av basestasjonene (A, B, C) har overflødig kapasitet, blir denne kapasiteten frakoplet slik at kapasiteten til hovedlinken (5) ikke overskrides. Kapasiteten til hver av basestasjonene (A, B, C) kan varieres i henhold til antatte eller aktuelle belastninger, forutsatt at den totale (ikke-frakoplede) kapasiteten til basestasjonene (A, B, C) ikke overskrider kapasiteten til hovedlinken (5).
