Abstract
An electrical firing mechanism and specifically a detonator priming device comprising an electric power supply providing a first current (I1) to a circuit which includes means (30) for timing the operation of a firing element (12) that fires a primer (13), and to means (35) for generating a second current (I2) after the end of the timing period, said second current (I2) being sufficient to actuate said element (12) whereas the first current (I1) from the power supply is not.
