Abstract
En billeddannende anordning omfatter en billeddannende understøttelse og et antall billeddannende utstyrsfliser (56, 58). Hver flis har en billeddannende utstyrsenhet med en billeddannende overflate og et uvirksom! område (50) ved eller nær en kant av flisen. Den billeddannnende utstyrsenhet på en flis som er montert på nevnte understøttelse er skråstilt slik at en del av den billeddannende overflate (60) av en flis i det minste delvis ligger over det uvirksomme område av en annen flis, slik at det oppnås en hovedsakelig kontinuerlig billeddannelse i en første retning. Rommet mellom flisene i retningen ortogonalt på den første retning gjøres så liten som mulig ved å sikre at bredden av den billeddannende overflate av et detektorlag i den billeddannende utstyrsenhet er den samme som eller større enn den for et utlesningslag i den billeddannende utstyrsenhet samt den for en holder for den billeddannende utstyrsenhet.
