Abstract

Et kontrollsystem for avvanning av slam (10) som er basert på en bestemmelse av slamstrukturen etter tilsetning av et additiv som en prediktor for awannbarheten av nevnte slam med ulike awanningsmetoder.Systemet (10) er basert på en kontrollmetode for awanningen av slammet hvor metoden består i at man skaffer en sammenheng (25) mellom partik- kelstrukturen og slamkakens tørrstoffinnhold(15), konti- nuerlig følger slammets partikkelstruktur for å få en kontinuerlig bestemmelse av slamkakens tørrstoffinnhold og tilsetter et additiv til slammet som en funksjon av kakens tørrstoffinnhold for slik å kontrollere slammets av- vanningsegenskaper (15). Slamstrukturen bestemmes på grunn- lag av fraktaldimensjonen for de partiklene som slammet består av.
