Abstract
Oppfinnelsen vedrører en anordning for å motvirke spastisitet ved langvarig tøyning av rammede muskler og spastisitetshemmende posisjonering av rammede kroppsdeler. Det er i denne forbindelse viktig å ekstendere håndleddene og fingrene og abdusere fingrene. Det er spesielt viktig å danne en full eller nesten full radialabduksjon og full dorsalfieksjon av tommelen. Griperefleksstimuli forhindres ved å unngå kontakt med de palmare hånddelene. Oppfinnelsen tilfredsstiller disse aspektene ved bruk av en første skinne (2), hvis proksimale ende er festet til pasientens underarm ved bruk av festestropper (4, 5) og hvis distale ende omgir håndens fingerspisser. In this way, the wrist and fingers are extended. A second rail (3) mounted on the first rail by means of a screw (8) extends the thumb and brings it into full dorsal flexion while allowing optional regulation and fixation of the radial abduction to the thumb. The primary application of the invention is to counteract spasticity in hands and arms but it will also secondary to spasticity in nearby and other parts of the body.
