Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for å redusere interferens i et radiosystem som omfatter minst en basestasjon og en abonnentterminal. De data som skal sendes, omformes til symboler (40) i en sender, og hvert symbol (40) multipliseres med en forbindelses-spesifikk spredningskode sammensatt av chips (41). Dataene som skal sendes på forbindelser i en synkroniseringsfase, multipliseres med en spredningskode med tidsvarighet som skiller seg fra spredningskoden i de andre forbindelsene.
