Det er beskrevet et kule- og splintbeskyttelsesmateriale/innbruddsbeskyUelsesmateriale fremstilt ved SHS teknikken og basert på titankarbid TiC, titanborid TiB, titandiborid TiB2 eller titankarbidaluminiumoksid TiC-Al203 og et metallisk bindemiddel. Oppfinnelsen vedrører også et beskyttelsesmateriale fremstilt ved SHS teknikken som danner en gradient og lamellert struktur og er festet til andre beskyttelsesmaterialer.
