Abstract

Metode for fremstilling av melamin fra urea via en høy- trykksprosess i hvilken fast melamin blir oppnådd ved å overføre melaminsmelten som kommer fra reaktoren, til et kar hvor melaminsmelten nedkjøles med et kjølemiddel som fordamper. Melaminsmelten kommer fra reaktoren ved en temperatur mellom smeltepunktet for melamin og 450 °C og blir sprutet inn i et kjølekar, via sprayanordninger, som har en ammoniakkatmosfære med et økt ammoniakktrykk og nedkjølt ved hjelp av et fordampende kjølemiddel til å gi et melaminpulver. Melaminsmelten blir derved omdannet til melaminpulver med en temperatur på 270 °C eller lavere etter hvilket ammoniakktrykket blir frigjort og melamin- pulveret blir nedkjølt i det minste i en del av kjøle- området, av pulveret som blir satt mekanisk i bevegelse og blir nedkjølt direkte eller indirekte og, hvis nødvendig blir melaminpulveret ytterligere nedkjølt.
