Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for signaldeteksjon i en mottaker i et digitalt, celledelt nettverk. En kombinasjon av et ønsket nyttesignal og minst ett interfererende nabokanal-signal som kommer fra en kanal som ligger tilstøtende til en ønsket kanal, mottas på den ønskede kanalen, l samsvar med oppfinnelsen bestemmer man sammen kanalestimater for nyttesignalet og minst ett nabokanal- signal. Estimeringen utføres enten ved bruk av refc ansedeler, f.eks. en trenings- sekvens, som er kjent for mottakeren, eller ved å bruke symbol- eller bit- avgjørelser som frembringes ved avgjørelses-tilbakekopling. Så detekteres nytte- signalet ved å utnytte kanalestimatene for både nyttesignalet og nabokanal- signalet. Estimeringen kan også utføres separat, i parallell eller sekvensielt, i hvil- ket tilfelle et rekonstruert interfererende signal blir redusert fra nyttesignalet før deteksjonen.
