II. DESCRIPTION :II. DESCRIPTION:
2.1 Introduction :2.1 Introduction:
With the development of solar energy, devices equipped with rechargeable batteries, batteries, or supercapacitors, and especially with the rise of electric cars, a lot of research is being carried out on batteries and chargers. Much effort is being made to improve the capacity and manufacturing cost of batteries and the charging speed of chargers.
2.2 Etat de la technique :2.2 State of the art:
There are a multitude of battery charger and supercapacitor models available today. Some of these models incorporate a transformer resonant circuit, others a DAB (Dual Active Bridge) with series resonance, or an LLC resonant converter. All of this is done to optimize charging power.
The power source for battery or supercapacitor chargers is generally a sinusoidal voltage source generated by a generator, and charging is primarily accomplished through active energy transfer. While the efficiency of a charger is roughly 98%, the efficiency of a generator barely reaches 40%. This results in a fairly average overall efficiency.
The present invention makes it possible to use reactive energy with a minimum of active energy, which gives the possibility of having an improved overall efficiency.
The invention makes it possible to envisage charging devices that are compact, lightweight, and ecological, with reduced consumption of the generator set, and capable of charging a greater number of batteries or supercapacitors.
2.3 Description sommaire2.3 Summary description
The solution provided by the invention is to charge the battery or supercapacitor, mainly by a transfer of reactive energy while consuming a minimum of active energy, with a sinusoidal voltage source as a power source. The device of the invention first pumps reactive energy from the parallel resonance of one or more LC cells and then transfers this energy to the battery or supercapacitor to be charged. Since the LC cells have the same resonance frequency identical to the frequency of the voltage source, the reactive energy is extracted, performing negligible work. It should be noted in passing that this reactive energy comes from the zero sum of the positive and negative reactive energies of the capacitances and inductances of the LC cells, in resonance.
Furthermore, the transferable reactive energy is determined by the effective voltage of the voltage source and the capacitance of the tank capacitor or the capacitors of the tank circuits, which supply current to the capacitive load. In other words, for a given value of the effective voltage of the voltage source, the greater the capacitances of the above-mentioned capacitors, the greater the amount of reactive energy that can be transferred to the capacitive load.

Ce mode de réalisation est composé de 3 parties reliés par les contacts a5 et b5.The diagram of a simplified embodiment of the device of the invention is shown in Figure 1. This embodiment is composed of 3 parts connected by contacts a5 and b5.
Contact a5 connects the sinusoidal voltage source (1) and the LiCi cell with the L2C2 cell. Contact b5 connects the L2C2 cell with the rectifier bridge (2), the capacitor or supercapacitor C3 and the voltage regulator (3), two of the three terminals of which are connected to the capacitive unit to be charged.
Let us now describe the operation of this simplified version of the device of the invention.
In a first phase, contacts a5 and b5 being open, the voltage source (1) is activated. Due to the parallel resonance, the current leaving the voltage source is very low while the capacitor Ci and the inductance L] are crossed by high opposite currents. In a second phase, contact a5 is closed. Cell L2C2 is then connected to the voltage source (1) and to cell L1C1. The current leaving the voltage source (1) remains low compared to the currents passing through the two LC cells. The voltage across these two cells is the same as that across the voltage source (1). Contact a5 is then opened in a third phase. This causes the disconnection of cell L2C2 from the voltage source (1) and from cell L|Cj. Cell L2C2 is then the seat of permanent oscillations. In a fourth phase, contact b5 is closed, cell L2C2 is then connected to the rectifier bridge (2), to the capacitor or supercapacitor C3, to the voltage regulator (3) and to the capacitive unit to be charged. These are then supplied with current and the supercapacitor or battery to be charged gradually charges. In a fifth phase, when cell L2C2 is sufficiently discharged, contact b5 is opened. Contact a5 is then closed for a new charge and discharge cycle.
Two other simplified embodiments of the device of the invention are shown in Figures 2 and 3.
According to another embodiment not shown, the device may comprise additional LC cells and dimmers or relays instead of contacts (5). The capacitive unit to be charged can then be alternately charged by these cells in order to obtain a constant voltage and a permanent charging current.
A numerical simulation was carried out with the EveryCircuit software on the simplified embodiment of the device illustrated in figure 4.
