Abstract

This invention provides for a mutant inbred corn line designated AYI5096 and methods for producing a corn plant by crossing plants of the inbred line AYI5096 with another corn plant. The invention also relates to tissue culture of various parts of inbred AYI5096. A process for generating mutants derived from inbred lines using a combinational approach of 2 of 3 induced mutation processes selected from physical, chemical and biological mutagenesis is also described.
