Abstract

The present invention provides an air cooler (1) for mounting at an elevation. The air cooler (1) contains a means to blow air (6) placed inside the housing (2) and an evaporative cooling media (4) placed behind the said means to blow air (6). The said housing (2) is connected to a first water storage chamber (3) through which water is automatically pumped to, on and over the said evaporative cooling media (4). Cool air is expelled from the air cooler (1) via one or more air outlets (10). The said outlets (10) contain foldable and oscillating louvers (14) which can be closed completely when the air cooler (I) is in switched off mode. Sensor(s) (12) help to monitor and maintain water level in the first water storage chamber at all times.
